Lose It! Weight Loss App for iPhone!

I have been trying to lose weight for over a year now and have been unsuccessful.

I would have the motivation for a couple days, a week max, and then fall off the radar. I don't know what it was but I couldn't contain myself and those Reese Pieces had total control over my brain. I've never had weight issues (and don't get me wrong I'm still in pretty good shape) however since I got married, I've gained a good 15-20 pounds. I never thought that was possible.

I've been a synchronized swimmer my whole life and so I've always been in really good shape and could eat whatever I wanted. But lately, if I stare at a cheesecake I swear it goes straight to my arse.

So I downloaded this app called 'Lose It!' and I have always been sceptical over these things thinking that it won't really work however it totally does! I've lost 3 pounds already and it is the motivation I need to think twice before I stuff something in my mouth. It is a calorie counting program which I know some people are skeptical of but if you want results this works!

I love this app specifically for these reasons:

1. If you know you have to log something, you wont eat it! It sounds easy but trust me, when you realize how many calories are in a slice of cheese you'll want to throw it out.

2. You can add your friends and motivate each other. Don't worry, they can't see any personal info such as your actual weight however they can see how much you've lost! The motivate tab I think is fantastic!

3. There are different challenges you can participate in that have different goals. i.e. drink 8 glasses of water a day, or log every day for an entire year, or eating a certain amount of veggies/fruit a day. Just a fun way to be involved and see how everyone else in the lose it community is doing!

4. Adding food items to you list is easy peasy! The app has a scan option where you can scan the bar code of a food item, choose the serving size, and add it to your list. What?! Ya, I know. It's friggen genius. Also, you can add recipes logging all the food items you've used, choose the number of servings it makes and then add it to your log for the day. It saves the recipe for future use. I know, you've saying holy eff.

5. You get badges for all sorts of accomplishments. Who doesn't like the encouragement and digital gold stars? I do.

6. It creates visual aids to show you your results over the week, month, or year. You can send them to your email/print them out.

You could say that I'm a huge fan of this app. I think it is just what I need to stay motivated and have fun doing it! I also do intense yoga every single day. Exercise is important, even if it's just 20 minutes a day. Really, what's 20 minutes? I hope to post a before/after picture of my bod after I've reached my goal weight. That will be rewarding!

I hope you all the same success! Whether or not you can download this app, you should find some online resource that will help you count calories and make you conscious about every single thing that goes into your mouth.

OH, and drink LOTS of water. Preferably with lemon in it! ;)

Talk soon beauties,
